Terms of Service.

The agreement between you and Opiliant. Read it carefully — by creating an account or subscribing, you accept these terms in full.

Effective from
15 May 2026
Jurisdiction
India
Governing law
Indian Contract Act

These terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Opiliant — the IELTS preparation service at opiliant.com — operated by Opiliant ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The service

Opiliant provides AI-powered preparation for the IELTS examination, including Writing and Speaking evaluation, full Listening and Reading tests, and feedback graded against the official IELTS band descriptors. The service is delivered through opiliant.com.

Opiliant is an independent preparation platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cambridge Assessment English, the British Council, IDP IELTS Australia, or any other official IELTS provider. Band scores generated by Opiliant are predictions for practice purposes and do not represent official IELTS results.

2. Eligibility & account

  • You must be at least sixteen years old to create an account, or older where your jurisdiction requires.
  • You must provide accurate information at sign-up. Authentication is handled via Google OAuth, so your email and name come directly from your Google account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. We are not liable for unauthorised access resulting from a compromised Google account.
  • One account per person. Sharing accounts, reselling access, or operating multiple accounts to evade rate limits is prohibited.

3. Passes, billing & access

3.1 Plans

Opiliant offers three one-time access passes — Sprint (₹1,999 / 15 days), Focus (₹3,499 / 30 days), and Mastery (₹5,999 / 60 days). Each pass grants full access for its duration and does not auto-renew. Current pricing and included features are published on the billing page in your dashboard.

3.2 No auto-renewal

Passes are one-time purchases. Your payment method is charged once, at the time of purchase, through Razorpay. Nothing is charged automatically afterwards — when a pass expires, access ends until you choose to buy another pass.

3.3 Expiry & cancellation

Because passes do not auto-renew, there is no recurring charge to cancel — access simply ends when the pass expires. You may end your access early from the billing page; doing so does not entitle you to a refund of the current pass unless the Refund Policy applies.

3.4 Price changes

We may change pass prices at any time. Any change applies only to passes purchased after the new price is published; a pass you have already bought is unaffected for its remaining duration.

3.5 Taxes

Listed prices include applicable Indian GST. For international users, prices may be adjusted at checkout to reflect applicable taxes in your region.

4. Acceptable use

While using Opiliant, you agree not to:

  • Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or designed to harass another person.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI evaluation engine, band-scoring logic, or question content.
  • Use the service to generate content for resale, including ghost-written essays or speaking responses for paying clients.
  • Interfere with the service through automated requests, denial-of-service attempts, or attempts to circumvent rate limits.
  • Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules. Serious or repeated breaches may result in permanent termination without refund.

5. AI evaluation — important limitations

Read this carefully

Band scores, criterion ratings, and feedback generated by Opiliant are produced by large language models. They are calibrated against the official IELTS rubric and human-rated reference essays, but they are not official IELTS scores and we make no warranty that they will match the score you receive on an official test.

Use Opiliant as a preparation tool. Do not rely on Opiliant band scores for visa applications, university admissions, employment, or any other decision requiring an official IELTS result.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our content

All Opiliant branding, the user interface, the question library, the AI prompting layer, marketing copy, and supporting code are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without written permission, except as expressly allowed by these Terms.

6.2 Your content

You retain ownership of the essays, speaking responses, and other content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that content for the purpose of returning your evaluation, storing it in your history, and improving the service.

6.3 Feedback you receive

The AI-generated feedback, annotations, and band-score reports are provided to you for personal use — preparing for the IELTS exam, sharing with a tutor, or keeping for your records. They are not licensed for commercial redistribution.

7. Third-party services

Opiliant depends on services from Google (authentication), Supabase (database), OpenAI (AI models), Razorpay (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Their terms and privacy policies apply where you interact with them through Opiliant. We are not responsible for outages or changes in these third-party services.

8. Disclaimers

Opiliant is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI evaluations will be accurate in every case.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service — whether in contract, tort, or any other theory — is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost opportunities, lost data, or examination outcomes.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the service in breach of these Terms or in violation of applicable law.

11. Termination

You may terminate your relationship with us at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued operation of your account would expose us or other users to harm.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, with venue in the state where the operator of Opiliant is principally based.

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at the email address below and attempt good-faith resolution for at least thirty days.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and announced on the dashboard at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
